Already on the job?
You could make the connection.
Your company is bringing workers into town. Another trade is joining the project. Your office manager is searching for furnished housing. You may already know the person we need to meet.
Construction teams
Introduce your employer, project manager, staffing company, or a contractor with a housing need connected to a qualifying construction project.
Individual & employer stays
Connect us with a relocating professional, an individual needing furnished housing, or an employer arranging stays in metro Indianapolis.
You make the introduction.
We handle the housing.
01
Connect us
Get permission, then introduce us to the person responsible for housing. Share their contact information and what they need.
02
We confirm the fit
We check eligibility and confirm acceptance in writing. The client must sign a qualifying agreement within six months of acceptance.
03
Earn as they pay
After housing begins and the first payment clears, eligible collected revenue earns 2%. Payouts follow the quarterly schedule.
An introduction can be that simple.
Example: Marcus learns his employer is sending eight workers to a new project. He asks the office manager whether he can introduce WorkStay, submits the referral, and connects both parties after written acceptance. WorkStay evaluates the housing request and handles the next steps.
If the initial agreement produces $100,000 in eligible collected revenue, Marcus earns $2,000 over the payment schedule. No housing agreement or payment is guaranteed.
A MESSAGE YOU CAN USE
“Who’s handling housing for the team?”
“I know WorkStay helps arrange furnished housing. Would you be open to an introduction? I may receive a referral commission if it qualifies.”

Clear terms. Shared expectations.
Proposed program rules for partner review. Final written terms and applicable referral requirements must be reviewed before launch.
What qualifies as a referral?
A new prospective housing client, with a genuine introduction to a contact who can discuss the housing need. WorkStay must accept the referral in writing before the client signs. An existing client, an active documented opportunity, or a project name alone does not qualify. Acceptance identifies the client and opportunity.
What revenue counts?
The proposed basis is housing revenue actually received and retained for the original units and committed term of the initial signed agreement. Excluded: taxes, refundable deposits, refunds, credits, damage charges, late fees, cancellation fees, and separately billed reimbursements or pass-through costs. Expenses within a bundled housing rate are not automatically deducted. Final eligible charges will be identified in the written referral acceptance.
How does the cap work?
The rate is 2%, capped at $10,000 total for the qualifying initial agreement across WorkStay Indy and WorkStay Crew combined. Splitting an introduction across brands, people, invoices, or related agreements does not create additional caps. Any approved split among referrers shares the same cap.
Are extensions or additional units included?
No. Renewals, extensions, later contracts, and additional units or terms added after the initial agreement are excluded. Any separately approved new opportunity must be documented in writing before it begins; there is no automatic ongoing commission on a client.
When are commissions paid?
Accrual begins only after housing begins and the first successful client payment clears. Eligible commissions are paid within 15 days after each calendar quarter: by April 15, July 15, October 15, and January 15. Required payee and tax information must be complete. Prepaid rent accrues as the covered housing period is delivered; the first payment does not trigger payment of the full contract commission.
What if the client stops paying or receives a refund?
Unpaid invoices generate no commission. Eligible late payments count when received. Refunds, chargebacks, reversals, and credits reduce the eligible amount, with corresponding adjustments to unpaid commissions or recovery of overpayments under the final agreement. A later default does not erase commissions properly earned on housing already delivered and payments retained.
How long is an accepted referral valid?
Six months from WorkStay’s written acceptance for the client to sign a qualifying agreement. The acceptance will state the exact expiration date. If the client signs within that window, eligible commissions can continue through the original agreement term. After expiration, renewed written acceptance is required before a later agreement can qualify.
What prevents duplicate or improper claims?
One documented qualifying referral is credited per opportunity. Credit goes to the first qualifying introduction accepted in writing; any split must be agreed in writing. No self-referrals, fabricated leads, duplicate claims, circular payments, or referrals of businesses you own or control. Disclose your relationship to the client and obtain any required employer authorization. Referrers introduce; they do not negotiate, promise housing, or bind WorkStay.
What happens after submission?
Submission alone creates no entitlement to payment. WorkStay reviews eligibility, confirms the opportunity and expiration date, and supplies the written referral terms for acceptance. Program changes apply prospectively; accepted referrals remain governed by their written terms. Property-owner introductions are evaluated separately from client referrals.
Start with an introduction.
Tell us who needs housing and how you know them. We’ll review the fit and confirm whether your referral qualifies.
